1999 Atlantic Employers' Conference

CPMS in partnership with the law firm, Patterson Palmer Hunt Murphy, hosted an employers’ conference that highlighted updates on legal and labour relations issues. Featured speakers who provided expertise included Ms. Claudette Bradshaw, the Federal Minister of Labour, Moncton; Mr. Kevin McNamara, the Deputy Minister of the Department of Labour, Nova Scotia; Dr. Don Trider, CEO, Halifax Regional School Board and Mr. John MacPherson, QC, Partner PPHM.

Through their presentations and open discussions, employers learned about legislative changes, trends in collective agreements, disability and accommodation management and other labour relations topics. This highly successful conference provided employers with relevant updates that allowed them to prepare their organizations for the upcoming legislative changes.
