GVTAPS-Strategic

Greater Vancouver Transportation Authority Police Service
Strategic Plan 2007-2011 "Safely Linking Communities"

In 2007, Canadian Professional Management services provided leadership to the planning process for the Greater Vancouver Transit Authority Police Service. GVTAPS (renamed in 2007 to South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Police Services; SCBCTAPS) is Canada's only transit police force where officers have full police status and carry arms while on duty.

Below is a paragraph from Chief Officer Robert Kind acknowledging CPMS for its contributions to this plan.

Message from Chief Robert Kind

Chief-Kind

I extend our thank you to Canadian Professional Management Services, who guided the Police Service through the process, and to the Police Board who supported and endorsed the Plan. This Plan would not have come to fruition without the incredible work of the Working Committee and Operations Action Committees, and the direction from the Planning Committee - thank you all.

Special Thanks to Mohamed Doma, Senior Partner and Staff at Canadian Professional Management Services for their leadership and tremendous efforts towards the planning process.
