Professional Standards and Code of Ethics

Canadian Professional Management Services Inc. supports and complies with the professional standards and code of ethics suggested by the provincial Institutes of Certified Management Consultants. This code governs the way we conduct our practice.

The members of the Institutes of Certified Management Consultants are required to adhere to the following Code of Ethics:

• Undertake only assignments for which we have the required competence.
• Take all reasonable steps, at the outset of an engagement, to ensure that the client is fully aware of the scope and objectives of the work to be undertaken.
• Refrain from guaranteeing benefits arising from consulting services, or from making fees for professional services contingent upon results.
• Act in the best interest of the client, and treat all information relative to the affairs of the client as strictly confidential.
• Inform clients of any potential business conflict of interest.
• Advise and act in accordance with the law.
